Americans shows interest on "Akash"

Americans shows interest on worlds low priced tablet PC "Akash".  the American companies wanted to be part of this prestiges project to enhance the capacity of the Akash.   They are ready to enhance the speed of Akash processor form 300 Mtz to 800 Mtz.  The price of the Akash Tablet PC is same as Rs. 1,720 (35$) after enhancement. 

The Price of "Akash" was hiked

CEO DataWind Suneeth Singh say due to warrantee the manufacturing cast of Akash Table PC was hiked from Rs. 1750 ($35) to Rs. 2276 ($50).   Government of India ordered to replacement warrantee to Akash. This is the main cause for Price hike.  If government ordered for 10,00,000 tablet PCs DataWind is ready to supply for Rs. 1,750.

The commercial version is available for the cast Rs. 2999 ($60) with 30 days replacement warrantee.

Government of India launched Android Tablets for the Students

The Indian Government  introduced , a low cost Google Android tablet "Akash" for the education sector.

The Android tablet will cost only Rs. 1,100 (US $ 35) and will be sold by universities and colleges rather than the retail outlets.

The endeavor of launching Android based devices is to give huge scope to the teachers and students for educational development. These Android tablets will convert the traditional boring classroom teaching methods to digital excitement.

Now students will be able to learn at their own pace. These tablet PC will allow students to go back and forth between lectures and reference materials a number of times even after the class is over.  It also aims to promote e- learning programs in India.

The commercial version of  "Akash"  Android tablet will cost only Rs. 2,999 (US $ 60). It would commercially be available from November, 2011 to facilitate all the people out there.
